Starts: Monday 12th January, 2026
The Green Olive Collective invites you to join a 7-day solidarity mission during the annual olive planting season. For generations the cultivation of live trees has been at the heart of Palestinian life, carrying not only deep cultural and spiritual meaning, but also providing the foundation of livelihood for countless families. Today, this tradition faces growing threats from land confiscation, state violence, and the destruction of thousands of olive trees in settler attacks each year. This 7-day solidarity mission will bring you into direct connection with Palestinian farmers during the olive planting season, offering both hands-on participation in the planting itself and a grounded understanding of the struggles and resilience of rural communities.
We are partnering with the Burin Land and Farming Cooperative in an initiative to counter HaYovel and their Greening Israel Project by planting Palestinian olive trees instead of settler forests. Residents of Burin are inviting people from around the world to join them on the ground in the West Bank to plant olive trees and mobilize to tangibly support the steadfastness of Palestinian as they rehabilitate and replant olive orchards destroyed in settler attacks over the past years.
Alongside working in the groves, participants will join a guided tour of historic villages, cultural sites, and areas most affected by ongoing occupation. Through conversations with grassroots organizers, community leaders, and families, the delegation will witness firsthand both the challenges Palestinians endure and the steadfastness with which they steward their land and traditions. The mission offers a unique opportunity to stand in solidarity, to bear witness, and to return home as stronger advocates for justice with stories, experiences, and relationships rooted in direct experiences with Palestinian human rights defenders on the ground.
Day 1 - Monday: Arrival/Introduction Tour
09.00am. A representative of Green Olive will meet you at the Jerusalem Hotel Cafe for a briefing.

After lunch the group will travel between Palestinian neighborhoods, urban and suburban settlements, the Separation Barrier, and segregated roads. You’ll see first hand the effects of discriminatory policies and the stark inequality between infrastructure in West and East Jerusalem, where most Palestinians are not citizens but permanent residents of Israel living under military rule.
Throughout the tour your guide will give descriptions and analysis of the impact of the Jewish settlements on the nearby Palestinian neighborhoods, and discuss the increase in violence since October 7th in a broader historical context.
At the end of the day the group will travel to Beit Sahour, outside of Bethlehem, to meet your host family.

Day 4 - Thursday: Jordan Valley
Breakfast,
Today we will drive to the Jordan Valley and speak with residents of rural farming communities who live in this beautiful region. Israel has slated the Jordan Valley for annexation, as specified in the Trump peace plan of 2020, and wants to consolidate its military control over the area. You will see how the attempts of the army to make life unbearable in the Jordan Valley affects the daily reality of Palestinians.
The Israeli government intends to displace residents from their traditional lands and demolish the unrecognized villages in order to make room for new segregated Israeli communities.
We will be hosted by community members to learn about their experiences these past years and about their determination to sustain themselves despite attempts to evict them. This day will illustrate the ways Israeli policies work to displace Palestinian communities on both sides of the Green LineAt the end of the day, you will be dropped off in the Village to meet your host.

You will experience daily life and be hosted by Palestinian communities that contend every day with the reality of military rule. Along with direct support with the olive planting your presence will show these communities that they are not alone and there are people from around the world who will stand in solidarity with them and work tangibly to support them.
You will join with the Burin Land and Farming Cooperative to plant olive trees in the agricultural lands of the village. The cooperative is a Palestinian agricultural and grassroots workers collective committed to developing agroecology as a means of actualizing food sovereignty, environmental justice, and mutual aid in the face of both Israeli military occupation and the privatization of communal resources.
Burin is a community near Nablus that is surrounded on all sides by violent settler outposts.
