Starts: Monday 3rd November, 2025

The Green Olive Collective invites you to join a 7-day solidarity mission during the annual olive harvest. For generations the olive harvest has been at the heart of Palestinian life, carrying not only deep cultural and spiritual meaning, but also providing the foundation of livelihood for countless families. Today, this tradition faces growing threats from land confiscation, settler violence, and restrictions on Palestinian access to their own groves. This 7-day solidarity mission will bring you into direct connection with Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest, offering both hands-on participation in the harvest itself and a grounded understanding of the struggles and resilience of rural communities.

Alongside working in the groves, participants will join a guided tour of historic villages, cultural sites, and areas most affected by ongoing occupation. Through conversations with grassroots organizers, community leaders, and families, the delegation will witness firsthand both the challenges Palestinians endure and the steadfastness with which they steward their land and traditions. The mission offers a unique opportunity to stand in solidarity, to bear witness, and to return home as stronger advocates for justice with stories, experiences, and relationships rooted in direct experiences with Palestinian human rights defenders on the ground.

Breakfast,

This day will be spent exploring the geopolitics and lived realities of rural communities living in Area C of the West Bank and in the occupied city of Hebron.

Hebron is the only urban Palestinian area with  a Jewish settlement of comparable size in its old city center. 200,000 Palestinians and over 700 settlers live in Hebron. We will learn about the eviction of Palestinians from Al-Shuhada Street in the Old City, a historical thoroughfare and commercial center leading to the Tomb of the Patriarchs. We’ll take a walk down the thoroughfare, once a bustling Palestinian commercial market, and witness the shuttered shops, welded-shut doorways, and deserted roads. We’ll also see the settler compounds, the military base, and checkpoints along the route connecting them before departing for the South Hebron Hills.

In the South Hebron Hills twelve villages are currently facing eviction in what would be one of the largest single forced expulsions by Israel in recent decades. We will join with community residents in the villages of Umm Il-Kheir and A-Tuwani to learn about why Israel is intent on displacing these agricultural communities and about local culture, steadfastness, and the history of nonviolent resistance in the region.

We will also learn about Israeli and Jewish international solidarity efforts and protective presence initiatives in the South Hebron Hills, which have been ongoing since October 7th and showcase new forms of shared resistance that have developed in recent years.

Talk to the villagers about their daily life and the effects of the settlers who are living around them. A visit to other communities in the South Hills of Hebron to listen to the locals' stories and see their life conditions - and gain a better understanding about the situation and the effects of the recent events in the region.

Along with direct support with the olive harvest your presence will show these communities that they are not alone and there are people from around the world who will stand in solidarity with them and work tangibly to support them.

On the first of the two days you will join the villagers of Umm il-Kheir to pick olives in the valley between the two sides of the community. Umm il-Kheir is a Bedouin hamlet south of Yatta that has been a centerpoint of solidarity and justice organizing over the last decades. Since 1981 when the Israeli settlement of Carmel was built on top of their historic lands, the community has maintained itself in the face of settler incursions, home demolitions, and land expropriation. You will speak with residents about the struggle of the community and learn about their steadfast commitment to the future.
