This tour is an introduction to Jordan exploring the main areas of the region, with some ”off the beaten path experiences”.
Meet locals, visit organizations and take in the archaeological sites, stunning landscapes, beautiful culture and delicious cuisine..
Explore some of the most ancient cities and natural wonders in the world, gaining insight on the beauty and history of the country.

Day 1 (Monday): AMMAN OLD CITY
9:00am meet group at hotel lobby for departure (Antika Hotel, Old City)
Start with a walking tour visiting the Roman Theater, Citadel, and Temple of Hercules.
The guide will discuss the variety of people who live in today's Amman, their histories, challenges, and political status. There will also be time for walking through the ancient souks and shopping. Enjoy a local lunch in the Old City, and try some “Knafeh” - a traditional Palestinian dessert!
After lunch, visit a local refugee camp established to accommodate refugees who were displaced from Palestine. Learn about the life and history of the camp and visit a local family to hear their stories.
A stop at a local Museum - for a look at traditions in Palestinian and Jordanian culture and heritage.
Explore the neighbourhood of Al Weibdeh -an area that connects the old and the new city of Amman. This artsy neighbourhood is home to contemporary art galleries, a variety of quaint cafes, graffiti and painted murals.
Free evening for dinner - you can take a walk along the bustling Rainbow Street. This pedestrian friendly street is well-known for its mix of shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Day 2 (Tuesday): JERASH & AJLOUN
After breakfast, pick up from hotel
Jerash will be our first stop, built over 2,000 years ago. Stop at a local organization in the village for an immersive and authentic journey into Jordanian traditions
Walk through the ancient streets, taking in the colonnaded streets, public squares and hilltop temples, while experiencing the history of Jordan.
Stop for lunch in Jerash.
Then continue towards Ajloun, in the highlands of North Jordan. Visit the Ajloun Castle, taking the Trail through the fascinating labyrinth of towers and staircases, while its position provides stunning views of landscapes including the Jordan Valley.
Take the optional ride via cable cars over Ajloun's peaks.
Return to Amman

Day 3 (Wednesday): MADABA - KERAK - PETRA
After breakfast, pick up from hotel
Stop at a local Women’s Cooperative, aiming to make women financially independent and to raise their standard of living, through making cultural handicrafts, like ceramics and embroideries.
Head towards Madaba "the city of Mosaics", which has the oldest known mosaic map of the holy land.
Visit Kerak and its Medieval Crusader Castle will be the next stop.
Light lunch at a local stop then continue the trip down to Petra along the Desert Highway.

Day 4 (Thursday): PETRA - WADI RUM
After Breakfast, pick up from hotel in Petra
Visit the site of Petra with a guided tour, the traditional way, through the Siq (Canyon) to the Treasury.
See the Royal tomb, theater, Religious High Places of Sacrifice, and many others.
After the tour of Petra, enjoy lunch in the city and then a short transfer to Wadi Rum.
Arrive at the Bedouin camp to meet the Bedouin guide and witness the amazing sunset.

Day 5 (Friday) WADI RUM
Start the day with an authentic Bedouin experience
Explore Wadi Rum Jordan’s largest desert and one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world.
Explore nature at its best, on a 4 hour ride on 4x4’s through the desert, preserving the beauty of the sandstone and granite formations.
Have lunch prepared by a local Bedouin in the desert.
At the end of the tour transfer back to Amman
- The tour will end at Antika Hotel, Amman at approximately 5:00pm
